It is nothing like when your body gets tired, it is more like suddenly hitting a physical / emotional / psychological wall all at once. You will need to rest, and rest now.
Although survivors are not excluded from activities, they often find themselves having to curtail the time or energy expended at an activity.

Good news. There are identifiable situations that you can avoid that may overstimulate your brain.

Reduce bright lights. If bright light is exhausting to your recovering brain, you may have already discovered this by your desire for dark room and darker sun glasses. Here are some additional ways you can adapt your environment:Instead of bright artificial lighting, you can try filtered sun-light through a window with blinds or drapesWear sunglasses indoors and out.Don’t worry about looking too cool.Reduce the brightness of your computer, laptop or tablet screen.
Remove yourself from noisy conversations. If you find that being in the presence of hearing multiple conversations taking place at one time in near proximity overtaxes your brain:Always bring along ear plugs
Sit in the corner of a room, restaurant or meeting hall, so that you are not surrounded by sound sources.
Offer alternatives to overcrowded venues:If you find that being in large crowded situations overtaxes your brain you can offer your suggestions for less crowded venues whenever plans are being made.
